The Colorado Springs Guitar Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of the classical guitar in the south-central region of Colorado. We are primarily a group interested in the classical guitar, but have members who play several different styles. Membership is open to all who are interested in the guitar.

Meetings are open to the public and are held on the 2nd Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m.

The meetings are in Armstrong Hall on the Colorado College Campus, Room 328, third floor. Armstrong Hall is on the NE corner of Cascade and Cache La Poudre.

The Wellington Classical Guitar Society
Wellington, New Zealand

http://wellington.classicalguitar.org.nz/

Website is a bit out of date, but society does meet monthly on the first Sunday. Attended by local amateur and professional and student classical guitarist. Typically some ensemble pieces are practiced by the entire group, then a featured performance followed by ad-hoc individual and ensemble performances.

I would like to add two quite old Guitar Societies in SPAIN:

Amigos de la Guitarra (Guitar friends), founded in 1950 in Valencia. Web: www.amigosdelaguitarra.es
Sociedad Española de la Guitarra (Spanish Guitar Society), founded in 1955 in Madrid. Web: www.sociedadespañoladelaguitarra.com

Greetings :)

Hi is there anybody posting on the forum from the Central England Guitar Ensemble Fircroft College, Selly Oak, Birmingham. I am interested in getting involved. I have emailed but no reply as of yet. It has only been a couple of days, I am just impatient.

Greater Cincinnati Guitar Society

Founded over 55 years ago, the Greater Cincinnati Guitar Society, or GCGS, had fallen in recent years, but is experiencing a revived interest with new leadership and members. In addition to concerts and monthly meetings, we are looking into hosting a members concert, and working on a certification program loosely based on the Royal Conservatory of Music's assesment program.

Anyone comes from near Malang, Indonesia? I am glad to be involved into a classical guitar society around my hometown. I hope guys know a society near my hometown because i never meet any other person who play classical guitar, none of my friend interested in classical guitar playing. I feel alone over here because i have no one to talk to about classical music. i'm looking forward for your answers guys! :bravo: :merci:
