Delcamp.org, a new publishing house

Postby Jean-François Delcamp » Wed Feb 09, 2011 5:35 am

Hello everyone,
I am happy and proud to present to you Delcamp.org publications: http://www.delcamp.org/
The aim of Delcamp.org publications is to distribute works for classical guitar by contemporary composers.
Taking part in this venture from the very beginning are our friends Élisabeth Calvet, Ludovic-Alexandre Morin, Clément Pic and Pierre Tremblay.
I hope that other composers will come and join us, so that there will be new music in abundance, for all tastes and all levels.
I hope this move will encourage some of you to take the plunge and to turn your passion for composition into a reality.
I believe that living an adventure together, recognizing others and being recognized by them, gives a tremendous energy, that it gives you wings.
Coming together under this new publishing venture will help us all to go further in our composition.
Yes, it's time to get back to work on that unfinished manuscript, to take our compositions out of the drawer and give them new life on the guitars of others!

The links between me and the composers I publish are links of fellow feeling and mutual help.
What is so different about this new publishing house is that composers published by Delcamp.org retain full copyright for themselves.
So when their works are performed in public or are put onto a recording, then SACEM, ASCAP or any other performance-rights association or copyright collecting agency of which they are a member will pass on to them the whole of the fees collected from the concert organizers or record company.

Together, let us make our guitars ring out with new tunes! :D :discussion:

Regards,
Jean-François

What a wonderful opportunity for the composers amongst us.

Where do you find the ideas and energy for all this?
