Is it a Cedar? Is it a Spruce? - #3

Postby rojarosguitar » Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:45 pm

To continue the game begun in the thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=67301 'Is it a cedar? Is it a spruce?'... I open another thread as not to get confused to which recording you conribution relates ...

The same question. This time I don't give any hints. You decide ... what is your vote? They will be more recordings to come.

good luck and best wishes!

Robert

PS The recording setup is the same as before: straight to Tascam DR-40 (internal mics), no further processing apart from a slight reverb (a better one this time).

For me, it sounds better without reverb. My best guessing is a spruce top.

Sounds like spruce, but again, 50% probability it could be cedar.

I imagine this guitar with a cedar top.

Cedar based on the recent trend. But it does sound like Spruce.
