in a civilised society it's customary to read out the charges before condemning someone

Guilty until proven innocent.... :sage:

Maybe this thread should close and everyone must be forced to practice all day. lol

I second this! The poor guy has been trashed enough already...let him have his eternal rest in peace.

Closing or locking the thread is unnecessary. If one does not wish to read the contents, one is not obligated to click on the thread. :D If the thread became overheated or posts deteriorated into name calling and incivility, then the thread would be locked. Any thread that is not interesting to the forum membership will die on its own from lack of interest. :bye:

You're right. I suppose it would be good to close the browser and go practice instead.

There's a concurrent thread on “Segovia Criticism” that after starting off hot with 21 entries on April 13, has had only 3 entries since April 14. Did those guys see that more blood was being spilled over here and wanted to get in on the action?

Or maybe there is relationship to a mental ailment manifesting itself similar to "transfered agression" where an ostensibly innocent scapegoat is chosen to vent frustation on because of some personal goal that cannot be achieved, commonly known as" jealousy".Maybe a new traite called "Segophobia" or something like that.

Here is what Segovia said about himself in my free transcription: "To be a good guitarist you have to become either Saint, or crazy. I am not Saint. I suppose I am just crazy."

Agree. Go practice instead. Maybe with a lot of practice, someone will equal Segovia´s legacy.

Do you mean that Segovia might now be a zombie guitarist, perhaps playing that zombie Fleta that came unglued on him just before a concert? Is this what people mean when they say “Segovia will live forever”? Was it voodoo power that caused this thread to go on for 11 pages without good reason? Spooky.

The thread itself... It went 6 days without any new posts, and then rose from the dead.
