alan, your playing soothes my soul. you convey all the tenderness and melancholy of this piece so beautifully and (seemingly) effortlessly....thanks very much for this, both for your playing and for introducing me to a lovely piece of music. and thanks to vito for bumping it; i would never have found it otherwise. i love it

Very beautiful. If I could play half as good I'd be very happy.

Thanks,

Hello Tarbaby,
Thank you for this piece; it is lovely. I've played it a couple of times, and it keeps getting better. You did a wonderful job of it.

Tarbaby -- there's a reason this thread has a gajillion posts in it. I think you may single-handedly by popularising Abreu, and doing it with aplomb.

How wonderful to hear such lovely things again about this great piece of music!

I really just wanted people to know about it and play it, which seems to be happening!

:merci: Mr. Delcamp for providing it here!

Sorry it took me so long to respond...I've been having trouble logging on to the site. Thank you all SO much for your kind words and for taking the time to listen and comment!

Hey Alan,

I'll say again, this is such an amazingly musical performance, its what we all strive to achieve. And I also have to say congrats on 100 replies to this one, that's quite something :D

Great, great version, Alan. I checked this out some time last year but just now got around to posting on it!

I re-engraved a new score of this since my original was in a bad way. I just love this song.

You do it justice. Soon I hope to post my own version. I have pointed more than a few people to your version since there are hardly any audio recordings of this song out there.

Bravo!

Dear Alan

Well played. The quality you achived is far better than I have managed. Where did you position the mike relative to the guitar- distance. The mikes I have tried (all cheap) all seem to pick up the smallest of external noise, including the computer. Any tips would be very helpful.

Cheers

Mike
