brilliant!!!

I'll definitely show this video to my piano friends that tell me that Chopin doesn't sound good on guitar.

i like all the passing/decorative notes.. so smooth sounding on a classical guitar compared to the piano

How wonderful I just bought a Chopin book for the guitar. I am looking forward to playing this piece after listening to you play the arrangement so well!

Hi Denian,

I'm a huge Chopin fan, and your performance here of Tarrega's arrangement was superb! I never realised Chopin could sound so wonderful on a guitar! You've definitely inspired me to add this piece to my new works list. Now I just need to track down the score.

Cheers,
Mal.

This is beautifully played.

Do you mind sharing the score here or show me where to get it?

Thank you

Just fantastic. Pure joy listening to your version. :casque: I have a recording of Tarrega's arrangements (including this one) by Fernando Espi. Yours is by far much better! What you called "raw sound" is beautiful. I also have the book of Tarrega's arrangements and it was great to follow your playing with the score in hand.
:bravo:

Thank you for sharing your music

What a fine performance; a true inspiration. I'm struggling to learn this piece a few measures at a time, but already I'm in love with the challenge. Thank you for sharing and for showing me just how beautiful Chopin can be on guitar when played by a master.

At first: Denian, thank you dearly for your beautiful music !

The music of Chopin is my "companion" from early childhood. And I am not surprised that "Chopin" and "guitar" somehow "go together". Although (if I am not mistaken) Chopin himself was not playing guitar , in his early years in Warsaw he was, in a way, "surrounded" by classical guitar music. This might continue later in his life in France. In Poland in his young years he was frequent visitor to famous at that time cafeteria named "Honoratka", where many people from artistic and cultural plus patriotic circles were gathering together. During evenings at "Honoratka" cafeteria poet Bohdan Zaleski was playing "spanish guitar". This is mentioned in one of small poems by other Polish poet, Artur Oppman.

The other cafeteria attended by Chopin was named "Dziurka" ((Little Hole)
http://en.chopin.nifc.pl/chopin/places/poland/id/757
On the entresol of the same mansion was the Dziurka [Little hole] café. Most numerous among its regular clientele were young men, chiefly the Romantic literati fascinated by Goethe, Schiller and Mickiewicz. Chopin would come here in the company of Maurycy Mochnacki, Bohdan Zaleski and Antoni Edward Odyniec
And guitar was also often played there, like in other Warsaw' cafeterias of that time; the other cafeteria also mentioned in the link above:
The café Pani Brzezińska [Mrs Brzezińska] (also known as U Brzezińskiej), situated near the Saxon Post Office on ul. Kozia, was, thanks to its excellent location, one of the busiest establishments in Warsaw. Chopin appeared here almost daily
Classical guitar was popular at that time in Poland. These were times of Feliks (Felix) Horecki (Horetzky), Jan Nepomucen Bobrowicz and Stanisław Szczepanowski.
