Was searching for a 2nd hand volin, and saw someone by your name selling a Brand New Yamaha GC41 Grand Concert Classical Guitar -S$2,500/- in SOFT. Is that you? Wow!!!

I'll be truly surprised if you will to really let go such a perfect and powerful guitar that you have described here. Also plus all those improvement effort that you have made on it, like almost just 2nd to your best Yari.

Cheers!

Need to make way for the GC82 and GC70 or GC62 maybe a few more to go. I just bought a flute. Need to occupy myself during retirement.

Hmm...ya, I m also very curious about the new yamaha range, especially the GC82. But you mentioned before, and even like endorse by your luthier friend that honduras rosewood is the best, which only GC41 is having it. So seem a waste if you sell it. The new range do not use this wood anymore.

Btw, I was shocked when I checked back that soft site to see how's your sales doing. Unbelievable if what you mentioned is true.

I'm surprised to hear someone say that the GC41 is a very different guitar than the GC31. According to the Yamaha specs, the only difference between the GC31 and the GC41 is that the GC31 has solid Indian rosewood back and sides, and the GC41 has solid Honduras rosewood back and sides.

I've played GC21, 31 and 41 guitars, although not at the same time. All were new, and had not opened up. All sounded remarkably similar. There was more difference between two model 31 guitars I played within a couple of days of each other.

I would choose a GC71. The best top-of-the line Yamaha, made with the specifications of Segovia.

Just wanted to add that the GC41 is made in Japan and the GC31 is made in Taiwan....at least that's what I read. I don't think that in itself makes a huge difference. I have a GC41c and I think it's a real bargain considering the low online prices and the quality of construction. Mine has an amazing tone...really sweet but lacks the volume of my more expensive guitars. The only other thing I'd mention is that Honduran R. is a very heavy wood...sounds nice, looks great but heavy. The EIR on the 31 doesn't look quite as nice but is lighter, very durable and like the 41 sounds really nice.
