Hi Lucy,

Very nice performance. I used to play another Overture from Mauro Gulianni. Maybe you play that as well. You can find the sheet music at Antologia de Obras para Violão (in Portuguese) Editora Ricordi. Very beautiful piece.

Congratulations,
Paulo César - Brazil
My guitar is always in my hands or beside me.
I try to treat it very well and never out of tune...

I don't know of another Overture by Giuliani - is the piece you mention very difficult?

Beautiful song! Not a bad cover, either. Nice.

Hi Lucy,

Kudos to you for your performance of this technically difficult piece of music! You have great courage and stamina to be able to stick to and progress to the very end of this piece! Before you, I have only heard two other masterful performances of this masterpiece - played by Julian Bream (flawless) and Manuel Espinas (with technical glitches here and there). You should listen to their versions, where you can learn to improve on rhthym control and phrasing. You also have a beautiful sounding guitar and tonal quality to your playing. Keep more of your recordings coming! Cheers!! :bravo: :merci: :bye:

Thanks for your lovely comments andrewcch! :)

Yes, I did find this piece difficult and it's also very long and fast. I really appreciate that you heard some of the musicality in my playing, in spite of the technical errors. So, many thanks for the encouragement!!

I've listened to both recordings you suggested. I already knew Bream's version. Very sensitive playing, as always! I didn't know Manuel Espinas' one, but I loved the energy he brought to the piece! :casque: Thank you.
