[PDF] Jones, Peter - Little Folk Song in D

Post by PeteJ » Sun Aug 20, 2017 11:36 am

Here's a little tune. It's a little harder to play than it might sound but not difficult. I'll be posting a recording on the 'our music' page if you want to hear it.

It seems to be missing the key signature.
But I like it! I'm going to add it to my next little personal book of simple repertoire pieces, I think!

Nice song.

It is indeed missing its key signature. I've played it through a few times and where you say the G on the sixth string should be played with 3rd finger I'd rather play it with the 4th finger and where you play it with the 4th finger (measure 8 ), I'd rather play it with the 2nd or 3rd finger.

Oops. Sorry about key signature. Less haste, more speed as my gran used to say. I'll come back later and replace this one with a tidier version.

Okay. A new version is now up. Also corrected an error in the fingering in bar 8. A recording is also now up.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for sharing. I have a small portfolio of these types of tunes/melodies that I like to play during my practice right after I finish my scales. Thanks again.
