[PDF] Vivaldi, Antonio; RV532 Andante, partial

There is a discussion here: viewtopic.php?t=67369#p738565 of the John Williams version of this piece that he plays (with Kevin Peek) on the Sky 2 album. I've been attempting to produce a transcription of this by ear (as Williams seems to have made quite a few alterations from the Vivaldi original). I'm posting here a partial arrangement (with the last section missing) for comment. At the moment it is set out as a solo, but I will split it into into separate parts in due course - especially as the last section is more complicated.

This arrangement represents what I think I hear being played on the track, so if anyone can hear anything different let me know! You can find the track itself by googling or on Spotify.

pogmoor,
Thanks for your efforts for this partial transcription of the Andante piece that JW played in his SKy 2 album... I am not that good to make any comments except to say thanks!
How did you figure out the notes and everything just by listening? Pardon me if it's a stupid question since I am an amateur!

Thank you for posting this partial score for the guitar!
When comparing with the Mandolin score I find your work very friendly for the guitar and :bravo: from me!

If you should ever feel the urge to finish this work I would be :D all smiles!

Great job :!:

Regards
Wiktoria

I found the original score and made a guitar arrangement of that. I then imported the track into a Mac program called Transcribe, one of several softwares able to slow down music without changing its pitch. Then I listened to it in sections at 50% speed and revised my arrangement accordingly. I do intend to try and finish it sometime. Unfortunately I've run into some sudden unexpected family problems that are taking up a lot of my time, so it is on hold for the moment.

It has been pointed out to me that there are some potential copyright issues surrounding this piece. The RV532 Andante is a work in the public domain that anyone can arrange. However the John Williams/Kevin Peek duet entitled Andante is a musical work based on RV532 that is, in itself, subject to copyright (presumably in JWs name). So if I make an arrangement that is substantially the same as the JW work Andante (especially if I label it as such) I do run the risk of offending copyright. For this reason I will confine myself to finishing my solo arrangement of the RV532 Andante that is informed by the duet playing of JW and Kevin Peek.
