Recording Classical Guitar with the Edirol R-09HR

Postby Sandan » Wed Apr 22, 2009 2:17 am

I came accross this guy video by accident, I've been looking for a simple system for dummy like me.
Search youtube for the above subject to watch his video.

Has anyone use this and don't mind to share his/her experience?

Thanks

I will find out soon, I ordered one because I was tired of the setup time to get a good recording and the mediocre quality I get with my other recording options.

I'm looking forward to hear from you. I bought two systems and the sounds quality is really bad or maybe because I don't know how to play around with the program.
:(

:merci:

Well, I got it and am very pleased with the first recording I made with it... it's a Villa-Lobos etude and I assume those are still copyrighted, so I can't post it here. I just set it in front of me, turned it on, and went for it and the sound was great. Not as good as I could capture with the best mics I own, but those stay in the closet all the time...

I'll try to record something else with it soon.

The included SD card has some sample recordings on it that sound great. I doubt this device would be the limiting factor in our recording attempts :)

Thanks,

I like simple stuff and plug&play, unfortunately, most of the time, it comes with a price of lesser quality.

Will you share particular things like your opinion on the stand, distance to the guitar, the height etc.?

:merci: :bye:

I just set it on a table and played into it. it was pointing straight at the soundhole and was maybe 12-18 inches away.

So many things happened; so I haven't purchased it yet , knowing fully well, :( I won't have the time to play around with it.
However, I 'll make the time to read new threads at Delcamp and learning new pieces since it keeps me relax and sane.

When I do purchase and try it, I'll definitely let you know.
