A Google search for Samplitude 11 silver takes you to a page where a free download is available. Oddly I can't see a way of navigating directly to this page from Samplitude Home.

Samplitude is a professional mutlitracking and edition software that can handle audio AND midi files and has a native VST and ASIO support!

It has a very long tradition dating back to the old days of Amiga computers ... who knows?!

I had no problems to find it via Google search (samplitude 11 silver free), downloaded and registered it for time unlimited use without problems ... looks nice and very professional ... but as it seems, that there is only a german version available, the benefits for foreign user might be limited!

Anyway, thanks for this hint! :merci:

I downloaded it and it was the English edition.
Samplitude was my first serious program on the Amiga back in.....,well, a long time ago. It's a very stable program that runs on fairly low spec computers, and is straightfoward to use. Thanks for the info.

Can anybody compare it to Adobe Audition? I occasionally use Audition and Soundbooth for my video projects, but have no experience with recording/postprocessing music and would like to be ready when the time comes to record my CG "virtuosity" ;-)
