Paganini, Niccolò - Sonata no.1 per chitarra - romantic guitar Video

Post by Norbert Neunzling » Fri Mar 17, 2017 8:20 pm

Hello there,

I just released a new video with the first of the 37 Sonate per chitarra by Niccolò Paganini (M.S. 84). This small gem has two short movements - a Minuetto followed by an Andantino. For this video I used a 1927 Viennese model by Karl Schandl with Aquila Nylgut strings.

best wishes,

norbert

Very enjoyable performance, thanks for posting it! The guitar has a beautiful tone, Nylgut seems to work well with it.

Bravo Maestro !

Ihre Gitarre klingt großartig , und Ihre Interpretation ist sehr musikalisch.

Haben Sie ohne Nägel spielen?
Ich mag deine Stimme.

Tschüss !
keep hope !

thanks for your comments.
@ Isabelle - I play with (very short) nails, I like the definition a short nail adds to the sound.

That was very enjoyable Norbert. Thanks for sharing this.

Please forgive my ignorance, but is your guitar tuned to standard tuning?

Thanks for your kind comment

I use standard six-string tuning with A=440 Hz.

Very nice - thanks for that. I enjoyed it.

P.S. A few years ago I revisited the Sagreras method, and I often used your helpful videos to reassure myself. It must have been a lot of effort, but I'm glad you made all of those videos.

Well played and nice instrument too. I like Paganini's guitar pieces, not as flashy as his violin solos but quite musical miniatures.

Piece like this one is playing enjoyment, no matter how they sound so common to romantic period.
You play it very easy and relax.
