Excited greetings from Norway

Post by KnutBerg » Tue Jul 18, 2017 8:02 am

Hi,
after 30 years of ever diminishing playing, I suddenly found motivation and this forum. I started playing when I was 10, unfortunately I never had a teacher and the Internet was still a distant dream (early 70's). Because of this, I've lost some (many actually) things both in musical understanding and not the least how to solve technical issues. In addition, I never got to invest in a decent guitar. So after 15 years the interest started to fade as I became an adult and family guy.

I've always liked listening to guitar music, flamenco have given me much joy and classics from Dowland, Bach to Tárrega and Rodrigo. For some unknown reason I felt like playing myself again, but my guitar was in sorry state and next to unplayable.

Now I'm waiting for an Armin Hanika 50MC-CF which I hope will bring me more joy than the old Admira I found in the attic the other day.

So for me it would be a good idea to follow the online studies and get it right this time, I have lost most of my earlier skills anyway.

Guess that's about it :)

Hi Knut,

Welcome to the forum! Our online classes will be starting up again in September, if you're interested in signing up for them. You can find more details here and here. Of course there are plenty of other resources here too, to help you get back into playing and to answer any questions you may have.

Please have a look at this page for some useful information to get you started, including links to the rules and helpfiles. After your second message has been approved, you will have access to all members' scores and recordings plus the first 3 levels of the Delcamp score collections. After you have posted 20 messages, you can apply for the 020 group, which will give you access to the remaining levels. Just ask if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you around!

Best wishes,
Geoff
