Many people use A=392 to 460 in early music. A440 is just a convention, and even now many modern orchestras tune to A 442 or more to hava a more brilliant sound. So A440 this is just a convention and terms of "perfect" or "absolute" is just... subjective...
Count Basie: I don't worry about virtuosity. I do what I like to do. If I'm a virtuoso, that's great. If not, I'm doing what I like to do.
