Hi Georgi
You did better than you give yourself credit, you are making progress.

For the simple alternation exercise, the video submission is missing part #2, the triplets exercise. If you can submit that, you can get full credit for the simple alternation.

Hi Rodaan,
Nice progress, there are some well executed parts, just a few minor places where there is some timing hesitation.

Make sure to tune up the strings during practice sessions and or before recording.

On the simple alternation exercies, try and re-read the score.

For example, in exercise #1, measure (m)1+m2 with the repeat will have a total of 32 notes before m3 is played. I think I heard 26, a few are missing. The same for m4+m5 before m6 is played, and the same for m10+m11 before m12 is played

In exercise #2 there's similar missing notes as well

Greetings all,

Some may have noticed that even though their exam qualifying submissions for Lesson 5 are credited on p1 of this lesson 5 thread, the same is not reflected on the aggregate Qualifications for 2017 Exam tracking page for all of the different student levels.

We're aware of this issue and will post an update once corrected, in the mean time, if you have posted all of the required pieces for 7 full lessons and want to apply for an account on the spanish forum and request to sit for the exam, please go ahead.

Make sure to read the notes/tips in the 2017 Exam Discussion thread

Hi Everyone. The following videos are my D01-05 Lesson pieces with the following focus:

1. Slowing the tempo, tapping the beat, internalizing the beat.
2. Minimize unnecessary LH movement and keeping my pinky bent.
3. Minimize "clicking" sound of RH picking. My nails have grown back, so there should be less clicking.
4. Relaxing my RH while picking and reaching for guitar strings high E and B.

Again, I have included video clips with and without metronome beats. Moreover, I counted the beats with the metronome while playing. I noticed my Leccion 1 was off with the metronome during the middle part. I had a moment of anxiety and I started speeding up! (Rats!)

Please feel free to give me feedback. Thanks so much for the support, Nelson.
