Are you all filthy rich?!

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

I'm not surprised to see 'class warfare' invade this bolg site considering the current politics in the United States.
If all of us classical guitar lovers want to keep seeing beautiful and progessive hand made instruments in our world, then some of us need to support them by buying more than one guitar!!!
I am the proud owner if 12 concert guitars, and wouldn't consider myself 'filthy rich' but certainly 'comfortable' after working 30 years as a physician, and (incidently) saving the eyesight of over 10,000 people,

The price range of guitars (even luthier-made) are not yet in the "Filthy rich" category. Many people with a good decent income could afford it, if they wanted to. One thing is having the money, another is to prioritize the spending. Some spend their cash on cars (Just look around how many porsche and other luxury cars you see in the streets), others on luxury travelling, juwellery etc...
The really filthy rich are those who can have it all... Don't forget that many forum members are (semi-) professional guitar players.
As for me, I want a little bit of everything, so I bought one good factory guitar, and that will be it.

Great question. The older I get the more I appreciate the non-material things that matter even more (i.e. family, friends, faith, health). I should count my blessings and name them one by one.

Definitely not rich. I am still playing the model 300 Reben Flores I started on. I would like a better guitar someday, but with a daughter just starting college it may be awhile.

I'm not rich by American/European standards but I did manage to find € 140 for a Yamaha C40 to learn on. Someday, if I learn to play well, I expect that I'll be able to find € 800-€ 900 euros for a high-quality factory-made guitar... On the other hand, I did buy a lottery ticket this morning, so I may be filthy rich tomorrow night.
