String comparison

For violinists, there is a pretty good website:

http://www.violinstringreview.com/quick-reference.html

It's generally fairly accurate. I wondered if anyone knows of an equivalent for guitar strings?

Not aware of one.

I could probably create such a site myself (if I had time) but then I'd get accused of not having enough interest in serious music rather than strings!!

Come on Peter, if any body could publish a guide, it would have to be you. You really should put up a Web page. Just think how many thousands of dollars could be saved by the masses. So far you've saved me hundreds of dollars with your advise.

Thanks for the nice comments. Appreciated.

Unfortunately you should know by now that the only reason I have so much experience with so many strings is that I obviously have an incredibly dull life. Not sure in
that case whether you should trust my judgement....
