I've been using the Carbonio normal tension for the past 6/7 months, probably 5 sets so far and never had any problem. I kept one set for 2 months (shame on me) and still treble strings were in good shape.
If you like it, play it.

Update: after putting several hours of playing time on the strings, they haven't shown any signs of string breaking that others have mentioned. I'm really digging the sound from the strings with my guitar and I think these are my new "go to" strings!

I've been using the high tension Galli Carbonio 3rd string on all of my guitars for a while now. Outstanding tone with good clarity and sustain. I've never experienced any "peeling" problems.

To my ear Galli Genius Carbon are the best of the carbon strings I have tried. I think they sound a bit darker than the others...

Hi everyone,

Just bought a E1 carbonio to give it a try. I like Savarez Alliance (except E1), Knobloch Actives carbon, Hannabach Goldin (a bit less the Carbon), Dr. Junger Aristona carbon (and Supersona carbon).
Could tell me how all three Carbonio trebles sound compared to one or several of those brands/types?

bushweek mentioned that they sounded "darker". Would they sound darker than the Knobloch or Junger Aristona?

Thanks.

Just for general information: Galli Carbonio trebles are identical for their NT and HT sets! Only the basses are different.
But I will accept your suggestion next time and try the their G string substitute.
I'm excited to see if it's even better than the really good Savarez' 503R Alliance! :D

I have been using Galli Carbonios on my spruce Dupont for about two years, without any problems. I like them very much.

I have also used Savarez Alliance and Hannabach Goldin and Carbon. I find the Carbonios to have a richer and fuller tone than the Alliance. The Carbonios also project better than the Alliance. I sometimes find the alliance to be a little bit shrill. The Alliance are physically thinner than the Galli or Hannabach carbons I have tried

To me, the Goldins are mellower and warmer than the Carbonio, alliance or Hannabach Carbons. The feel and tone of the Goldins seems to me to lie somewhere between carbon strings and traditional nylon.

The Carbonios are very similar to the Hannabach Carbons. I like the Carbonios only slightly better, but they are considerably less expensive. If the price differential was the other way around, I might opt for the Hannabach Carbons

I am unfamiliar with the Knobloch or Junger strings

Hope this helps

Yes, it helps. Thank you very much.

If you like the H carbons (and thes Carbonios then), you might like the Dr. Junger supersona carbon (high or extra high tension)- cheaper than the Carbonios, where I bought them at least -, probably not so much the Junger aristona and Knobloch, which have a mellower, warmer tone (which I prefer, at least for the 1st string).

Thanks again. I know now when I'll give it a try (not just for the next small concert) :merci:
