D' Addario Hard tension not balanced

Postby glassynails » Sat Jun 09, 2012 1:38 pm

Hi.

After playing Hannabach's "medium" tensions which are more tension than D'Addario's Hard tension, I must say that Hannabach's are really easy to play and balanced. D'Addario Hard tension have always been difficult to play on my Alhambra, I think D'Addario should try to balance the set a little better.

You should specify which set you're using because the regular Pro Arte line uses different tensions for the basses than do the Composites, EXP & Dynacore.

I used to use the Pro Arte. Once I tried Hannabachs there was no going bach!

So what are the individual string tensions of the Pro Artes compared to the Hannabachs you use?

I use EJ46C, which is the composite version. I use the brown G. I have no such issues. They are balanced, intonate perfectly, and seem to last forever.
