Smaro interprets here the Scarlatti Sonata K491/L164 using the "Kertsopoulos guitar support-amplifier" having it turned in the opposite direction. This opposite direction amplifies in a different manner the sound of the guitar giving a warmer attack on each note played.
This is the world premiere of the wonderful and demanding Scarlatti Sonata K491/L164, which Smaro Gregoriadou has transcribed and interprets on a high-tuned scalloped pedal guitar of Kertsopoulos design and construction. This Sonata is included in Smaro's CD "Reinventing guitar, Vol. 2" released by DELOS.
Live in Athens, AN-ART ARTISTRY, 5 November 2012.

Also in this interpretation of the Scarlatti Sonata K481/L187 on a double-course pedal guitar, Smaro uses the "Kertsopoulos guitar support-amplifier" in the opposite direction to add to the harpsichord related tone of the work.

Yorgos Kertsopoulos interprets on a conventional guitar his arrangement of "Greensleeves" (first part). Two comparison recordings are made, the first by recording without the support-amplifier and afterwards recording with the guitar resting on it. The guitar rests on the "Kertsopoulos guitar support-amplifier" made by Y.Kertsopoulos and its sound is constantly acoustically (and not electrically) amplified. Recording is made with the ΖΟΟΜ Q3HD (as is) at a distance of 2.2 meters and no digital mastering or sound effects have been applied to the recording. The recording input volume levels have been kept the same for both recordings for making the correct comparison between the use or not of the support-amplifier and the effect it has on amplifying the sound of the guitar.

The Kertsopoulos guitar supprt-amplifier version: "Superior" designed and constructed by Yorgos Kertsopoulos is presented with a comparison testing on the begining ofAsturias by: Isaac Albeniz. Yorgos plays the begining of his arrangement on the work on a conventional guitar, first without the use of the support-amplifier and then plays the same phrases on the same guitar, this time the guitar resting on the support-amplifier.Recording levels are kept the same for both recordings so we can have a comparison. No mastering or any sound effects added to the video. Recording of video and audio is with the ZOOM Q3HD.

As we read on the video's description:

Guitar: 1962 Ignacio Fleta
Here's Smaro Gregoriadou playing Bach's Sarabande from the first Cello Suite, BWV 1007, on a gorgeous 1962 Ignacio Fleta classical Guitar. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Smaro uses the 'Superior' model Kertsopoulos guitar support-amplifier, designed and constructed by Yorgos Kertsopoulos .

Huge thanks to the folks at Apogee Electronics (ApogeeDigital.com) for the use of their Ensemble interface in these recordings.
