Fabio is very intelligent and a great teacher, here one of his recent masterclasses:

Jose Antonio Escobar also has some great musical insights:

More masterclasses from both at that channel.

Very good, but I think that very often these teachers do not take enough account of the situation. Zanon states that his posture is tense, and thus his playing is tense. But the situation is probably contributing at least 50% to this.

I agree with this sometimes, but in this situation I think it is more a technical problem, which certainly has a psychological part, but we notice this guy tensed more in specific passages, in a way it seems more a repeated bad habit or lack of awareness or paying attention to detail. It is hard to tell, but anyways it must be addressed.

I would have said, "is this how you normally play? Relax and play some of it again".

I have played in a class before and had the lecture about tension - but I was tense due to the circumstances.

I'm surprised that no one spoke English since it is commonly taught around age 8-10 in Russian schools. Anyway, very interesting--thanks for posting. Zanon works with another student on Scarlatti's K.1 in a separate video, which is helpful to me since I plan to learn it soon!
