I am trying to clean up my music collection by classifying some of the orphan guitar pieces I have downloaded over the years. Would like to find Opus numbers for things with simple labels like allegro. I vaguely remember that there used to be a site that would identify a piece of music from the first couple of bars. I think you encoded the music into some kind of text format. Searched google as well as my memory with no luck. Does anyone know where to find this?

Thx

hhmm, that sounds like a great computer program.

the only thing I can suggest, if you don't find the program, is to begin looking here, in the sheet music section. You might find many of the pieces on your list in there.

Good luck to you.
