I did drive up and see the guitar last year. At the time I was just starting treatment for trigger finger, which is a messy tendon. That has since been diagnosed as the onset of arthritis in my hands. The guitar sounds great with a full sound that leans ever so slightly to the bright side and exlnt projection. Beautiful guitar, top notch woods and finish and John is a great guy to work with. I have thought many times about contacting John to buy this guitar but my hands have influenced my decision. For me the price on this guitar, and the quality, put it heads above any other guitar I looked at and at a lesser price.
I still think if I could sell one of my steel strings, buying this guitar would allow me to play a little longer.
It would not be a waste of time for anyone close by to check it out.

Oh you know...pretending to be a potential buyer so I can ogle it and play a few chords :)

I hope it goes to a good home, and a good player. Or somebody who is a serious student, who wants to make sweet 7 fan braced sound, none of that crunchy lettuce topped guitar sound.
