Hi Juergen
I like the YT version much better as you played it so romantically with lovely rubato and a gorgeous tone. :casque:
It's a beautiful little piece and you did it proud. :bravo:

Totally agree - lovel sound on the second video but it needs the tempo of the first. Both however are excellent and very enjoyable!

:merci: RobertoIG, lucy and Tom Cunliffe.
The tempo is always a nice topic to talk about, isn't it?

Ah, this is indeed one of my favorite pieces. So simple, yet so sweet and emotional.

I like to play it at different speeds and moods, and often repeat the first part to make it a bit longer, and as a sort of resolution after the 2nd part.

And it's a nice little piece to warm up, sometimes I play it as an intro when playing for others.

Very well played!

As a new member on this site, I am discovering 2 things, firstly what a wonderful and extensive range of beautiful music is available for listening to, but secondly how far I have to go to achieve even a modicum of the technique and tonal range of most of the wonderful performers and their performances. Even the pieces I can play, fall far short of any of the recordings I have heard on here.
What a great site.
I fear most of my contributions on here will amount to little more than effusive praise for those who post their recordings, I do hope that is sufficient to maintain my membership

Regards
Ian
