Wow thanks again - wonderful thrilling playing - crisp, exciting, and accurate, as always!
It's my favourite as well I think - have you heard to solo violin version - slightly different - and there's a chorus version as well in one of the cantatas [I looked it up once: called ''Ich Hatte Veil Bekummernis'']

I did a double-take when I spotted the date on this one - is this the first for a few weeks Owl or have I missed some?

mmmmmmm!

My dear Owl,
You just made my day!
I love this piece, too. :flowers: It really is beautiful and beautifully played.
I don't really understand why, but every time I hear you play a new piece here on the forum I always think that it is the best that you have ever done.
Your ability to play and interpret the composer's heart is amazing. I hear you play I don't want to even breathe for fear that I will miss even 1 delicate note.
It sounds to me like your fingers must be just lightly dancing on the strings.
Now, all we need is a video of you playing! ??????
Thank you for giving us this opportunity to hear you play.
You have no idea how much it means to me to get listen to you play.
:merci:

It a treat to see a new Owl MP3 post because I already know in advance I'm going to love it. Never been disappointed once oh feathered one.

Its a joy and a treasure to the forum to see you sharing your talent with us. It simply emphasizes to me what a great group we have here and even more so, what great talent this group holds.

You have something to be very very proud of here. I wish I could say its my favorite of your pieces but I can't. Your Alhambra is still in one position. Its the best interpretation I've ever heard and considering the competition.. 'nough said.

My Ipod is getting over by Owls. Anyone got a cat they can spare?

Your performance is a blessing for us. It is an honor to hear your Fugue. Thank you for sharing your gifts. You always have a special and distinctive style that causes the question... is this the best performance of this piece (each and every time, by the way) I have ever heard? But now I no longer worry about such questions because that is a relatively meaningless direction of thought. The real impact to me is that this is the way you have woven your special intrepretation and skill into presenting music of the ages -- and with this Fugue you have placed it in a memorable way. This is the performance of the 1001 Fugue I want to hear, I want in my head, I want to remember.

You continue to astonish with your balance, phrasing, and tonal choices. You are magical.

I think Charles says it all here and an enormous bravo to Gary to be able to record you, so brilliantly, to pick up every smallest sound that emanates from your fingers and guitar. Your guitar is absolutely wonderful and you and her make sublime music.
Everyone else has said exactly how I feel, and always feel, about the music that you continue to bless us with.

Thank you, dear Owl, once again for allowing us to share your extraordinary gift, talent and amazingly dedicated hard work to make it all happen.

Owl, I am running out of words, and others have already responded more eloquently than I could. A magnificent piece of music, performed with a rare mix of elegance and passion. Thanks for sharing!

Dear Owl!

I'm speechless. It's so nice how you prepared the entrance in the part at 2:10...like a relief, a moment of peace after an inner ague.
And the ending it's...magnific.
Gorgeous!
Bravo :bravo: :casque: :merci:

PS: And many thanks to Gary for this recording. :bye: Gary :merci: Gary :)
