Bach, J. S.; BWV 0147 Choral

Postby dmcharg » Fri Jan 07, 2011 5:29 pm

Hi,

This is a recording i did today of a J.S Bach piece that i am sure we have all heard at one time or another. Recorded with the Edirol R09HR & Colin Morrison guitar. A few little mistakes here or there and needs more practice but thought i would share anyway. There is a little bit where it transitions from triplets which i think i need to work on. Hope i captured the spirit of this piece.

Anyway hope you enjoy.

Fantastic performance, David.
This really is one of my most favorite pieces that Bach wrote. I like the smooth, calm tempo that you've used here, it lets the guitar sing the melody.
Thanks for all of the work that you've put into making this piece available for us to enjoy.
:merci:

Nicely played David. I like your tempo and phrasing. :casque:

But I'd also love to hear the rest of the piece. :)

this is why I love Classical Guitar... It gives so much colour on every piece made for it.

I just wonder what could be done if Bach would be able to make pieces for guitar....
My Guitar, my only companion
In sorrow, in happiness, in trouble
Through my hands, fingers
From my heart
My guitar speaks for me
In every note, emotion comes
In every smile nor tears
I'm glad i have my guitar
