Guitar Support/Leg Rest users..Dynarette, Gitano, Efel, etc.

I’ve decided to change from using a Foot Stool and am not sure which type of Guitar Support would suit me best. Do any of you have experience with any of these Guitar Supports/Leg Rests? Or perhaps you use some other type not shown here.

The “Dynarette” attracts me the most. It looks very stable, and not having to attach/un-attach suction cups would be a bonus, I think.

What do you all think? Any Dynarette, Gitano, Efel, etc. users out there? :D

Any chance Cardo or someone could move this great picture to the other thread? That would be great.

Hi Murray K

I have used all of these products, Efel, A-frame, Dynarette, and Gitano rests and can honestly say I have returned completely to the footstool. Each guitar rest had major faults that prevented me from actually interacting with the guitar. It no longer felt like I was in control when I played using these so I returned to the footstool, which I find gives me more interaction with the instrument and greater control.

I have a wonderful wooden Aria footstool that I bought through Guitar Salon International. It has six height adjustments and is extremely strong. I am giving you this advice so you don't waste your money like I did.

Best of luck with it

Thanks Leeman,

There are a lot of Guitarists out there who would agree with you 100%.

But the Leg Support thing really suits me. I tried out the idea using a home made Cushion first and instantly liked the way it felt.

I've recently bought an Efel Rest and I'm very pleased with it. I've just posted some more comments here: http://www.classicalguitardelcamp.com/viewtop ... 2234#32234

But good on you for taking the time to share your views. :D
