Musescore Question

Post by PeteJ » Thu Oct 18, 2018 11:09 am

I want to repeat a section in an orchestral score with some instruments tacet first time around and playing a part the second time. I can write in 'tacet prima' for the part or somesuch and a player will understand this but I'm wondering if there's a way of telling Musecore to follow this instruction. Probably not but I'll ask just in case. Thanks.

A 'net search yielded this:

(2015 - so may have changed)

https://musescore.org/en/node/78106
Which links to "voltas"
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/voltas

As I have no clue about anything you are asking, I have no idea if there is even a hint that hint be useful there.

Thanks. The first link answers the question. It seems there's no way to do it.
