First, the Sevilla piece I performed already in 1976. So this was not new to me.
But this is the whole story: I learned and played from 12/13 years to 19 (but indeed very intensely) and then while military service, university studying etc. I played occasionally without improving the playing up to the age of about 30. Then work/ children etc. So there was nearly no opportunity to play and I stopped. I began playing with 49 in August 2008 after we got this room you see in the videos (It's in the basement where originally an oil tank was installed but I love this room most in the house
Some pieces are really harder than 30 years ago since my left wrist has not the condition it had earlier. But on the other side some things are better today.
So, it's a mix and most important: It's never too late !!!
