Hi Andi, I have the same guitar but I dont know nothing about it. Now it needs some restauration and I wonder if its worth to spend a lot of money for it. May it be possible for you to send me some pictures of the instrument so I can check wether mine is a real one? The rosette and also the label would be also interesting for me to see... thanks in advance, Jan

Hi Jan,
this is the old "Gomez" which I bought in 1977. It has been built in Valencia, Spain.
The picture here is not very good, I know, but maybe it helps. But I have no possibility today to take more pictures. Please let me know. Tomorrow I can take new pictures.
I believe it is "damaged" since a few years, meaning the tone is gone. I believe the Cedar top has a limited lifetime. A luthier here in Munich said some years ago about it that is it quite ok but has a very thick lacquer coat...

Hi Andreas, I came across this while checking on my recent listing of Cadiz and of course two things came to mind, one what a superb performance of Sevilla which I am pondering having look at, not sure i'm up to it yet, and that of course we had much correspondence when I first joined this site and appreciated the help received from you. I hope you are well and the family in good health. Thanks again for a great score very best wishes Gerald Kidd.

Hi Gerald, it is very nice to hear from you. I am well. I hope you can tell the same! The reason I am a bit quiet here and on youtube is because my "guitar energy" is focussed on a guitar quartet here in Munich (corylus-avellana dot com) and another duo engangement with a viola player. This means public perfomances on and off. We did not create videos yet but I hope my fellows will agree to create videos some time which I can post here, too. It is really hard to do both, solo videos and quartet/viola concerts while having a non-music profession.
Burt anyway I am currently working on a hard Dowland fantasy. I hope to great a video soon :) I have a new guitar (a Marin Plazuelo) for which I didn't figure out the needed recording settings. Let's see :)
