Malibran, Maria - L'Écossais - Duo Video

Dear all

Here's a slideshow video of a recording I made of a song by Maria Malibran, 'L'Écossais' (the Scot). The singer is Alfrun Schmid, the guitarist me. I'm playing a guitar by D. & A. Roudhloff from the 1850s, with gut strings, without nails.

The complete text is:

Very lovely, Jelma. Maria Malibran must have been quite a character: the first superstar in music history. (I wonder if Lady Gaga's music will still be played 175 years from now?)
