How to report a post or private message:
If you wish to bring a post to the moderators' attention, for instance because it breaks the forum rules, or is a duplicate, or in the wrong place, or needs an edit, or you wish to delete it, etc., the best way is the click on the Report button immediately above the post, which looks like this:
A window will open up containing a drop-down menu, from which, for convenience, you can choose the reason for the report, for instance that the post is a duplicate. If none apply, you can click on the bottom one and type your reason into the text box. In any case, selecting from the menu is not too important, and you can just use the text box anyway if you prefer. Then click on the Submit button. This flags up the post to all moderators, and whichever sees it first, and has time, can deal with it. When the matter is not straightforward, the moderators may wish to discuss it within the team, which can take some time given their varied locations and timezones, so don't assume your report is being ignored if nothing happens for a while.
You can also report a private message, if you find it offensive or unwelcome. You do this in exactly the same way as above. Moderators will see a copy of the message in question, along with any comments you add in the report window, and will take appropriate action if the sender is breaking forum rules.
