Hello, this is not like my 1A headstock, maybe it's from one other model. Do you know what label says?

Get a cell phone or usb camera and go under the soundhole...does it have ramirez bracing? If so...call it a Ramirez. The rosette looks right, though your photo is off a bit.

I'm no expert but I believe those witht he label Estudio are lower end models which are not at all bad...just laminated somewhere, and honestly who cares if it sounds like a Ramirez and you like that sound so enjoy it.

It’s for sale on reverb ..... is there a site with cataloged headstock and rosette patterns ?

If not , do you think that would be a good resource to put together to take the guesswork out of trying to identify specific guitars ?

I leave that one for our resident experts to ponder .
Maybe someone will take up the endeavor .

It could be a Ramirez headstock. Apparently (from what I've read), many of the Ramirez Estudio models were (and still are) built in non-Ramirez workshops, and that has resulted in some variation in headstocks (and rosettes) in those models over the years. Every now and then a rather odd one will appear that somebody has come across, which doesn't match more well-known designs, but which may, nonetheless, be a genuine Ramirez Estudio (genuine insofar as Ramirez stuck their label on it and sold it as a Ramirez).

As far as I know, there is no catalog of headstocks/rosettes for Ramirez guitars, but it would be an interesting thing to compile, although difficult, since there must be thousands (if not millions) of Ramirez guitars that have been built and sold over the years, all over the world.

That is definitely an outsourced guitar Ramirez sold as a student model. It was not designed or built by Ramirez.

Looks like an Alhambra headstock. I believe they were making some of the Ramirez student guitars (and maybe still are).
Remember Anthony Weller, please help. Contact myself or Aaron Green for details.

Alhambra 7p headstock is exactly the same .

Ramirez must be outsourcing some of it’s guitar builds to Alhambra.

Thanks for the help .

The headstock is so-called "ispired by" Arcangel Fernandez headstock probably. I got one from Raimundo factory, and another one that is "inspired by" Ignacio Fleta headstock. The former is a classical and latter a flamenco.

BTW Raimundo is highly possibly the OEM of this also, as they have supplied some estudios to Ramirez at some point.

I think it is made in Raimundo factory.

Headstock of Cordoba Espana Solista (which is Raimundo 150 Especial as discontinued).

But there are many other makes with very similar head shapes. The original of this design can be traced back to Arcangel Fernandez:

Hope this helps you.

The headstock and label tell most of the story-- it is a factory guitar, a estudio model, probably made for Ramirez by Alhambra guitars.

Ramirez estudio guitars generally have a standardized Ramirez head stock shape and the one in question may be the one used in the 80s. Guitars not farmed out to factories but sold in the ramirez store have a different label. Ramirez use to have headstock and label info on their website.
be true to the one you love but have many flings with different guitars
