Laminate or Solid

Post by suntouch » Mon Nov 13, 2006 6:36 pm

If a guitar is supposed to have solid rosewood back and sides, how do I know it's not laminate? If it's the same wood on the inside as it is on the outside, does this mean it's solid?

I would ask the builder or company selling,,

could be a laminate with same wood on both sides,,

if the question cannot be answered, would move on if your strickly seeking a solid wood instrument,,

I just thought for a moment maybe the guitar I own is not as described, but I think it's fine, I just wondered how you could tell...

Can you list name of maker, model, year, price and photo? That would help too.
