Hello Kjb,

Are you sure the shape of the frets is the cause of the buzz?

The fret profile is quite subtle. Unless you are very confident indeed I would advise you against taking a file to your frets. My practical skills are almost non-existent and I know I would make the situation worse. I would go to a professional.

I'm not trying to be a smart-aleck here and don't take this the wrong way, but here's the facts...

If you have to ask this question, then you do not have the knowledge or skills to file or dress your own frets. If you have a problem with strings buzzing, take the guitar to a luthier.
