Dowland, John - Mistris Winters Jumpe - D04

Post by David McHarg » Thu Aug 19, 2010 2:46 pm

Hi,

This is another recording i made of a John Dowland piece from the D04 collection. I like to use the D01-05 collections for daily sight reading exercises so i just randomly pick something to play and see how it goes. This was a little recording from a practice session today. Recorded with Edirol R09HR + Colin Morrison guitar. Hope you enjoy. Its a nice little piece. I wasn't quite how fast or slow to this as i like it played slowly and fast, oh well. Needs some refinement but what a great little piece.

Thanks

Thanks. Colins guitars are really great. A good balance of deep base resonance and nice strong rich trebles.

Cheers
David.

It's really a great little gem, and you play it with a good spirit and sound. I like it when the music is telling something and you do that very well.

There is nothing more beautiful than the sound of a guitar - maybe aside from that of two guitars (Frederic Chopin)

dmcharg,

Lovely piece and you play it very well, indeed.
I love your arppeggio moments and sound that you produce.
I was playing just little faster but like you, I am not sure is it slow/fast enough.

Best wishes, Bertran
