@ Steve: Yes it is,I play with nails, the distance between strings and top is only a little bit. Without this I surely get scratchings to the top

beautiful instrument.

But for better sound, it would cut some nails, and place the right hand in the manner of lute players and not as guitarists!

I know, it is difficult to achieve, it takes several months of work and thought that the lute is another instrument, very different from the guitar.

Is this a arciliuto German?

A matter of opinion, I think - and one on which 16th and 17the century lutenists themselves did not always agree.
