Hello Peter. I enjoyed your performances of Sanz's Rujero and Paradetas on your mini Córdoba. To me your guitar really sounds like a baroque guitar. Sounds very different than playing them on a standard classical guitar which I do. I play the Frank Koonze arrangements and follow his advice from his book, The Baroque Guitar in Spain and the New World which has far less trills etc, and sounds far less authentic than yours.

I have also a flamenco guitar and a parlour steel string but no baroque guitar, but I wish I did. I don't know of any that are mass produced and thus are very expensive to have them custom made. Your mini guitar seems like a good alternative. Thanks for making the video.

Best wishes,
Danny

Mahalo! I agree, the Mini's timbre dances somewhere between an ukulele and Baroque guitar. It's a lot fun to play and somehow invites endless noodling when you pick one up. Oddly, I bought it to use when I teach ukulele but the timbre sounds great for early music. Scarlatti is wonderful on it.
