I think I was the first to download and listen to this (see first reply! :) ), and I have enjoyed it since.
Just a while back I listened to John Williams' rendition of the same piece, and I have to tell you, your version is way better!

wow, that is a fantastic version of canarios and your playing is really superb, rhythmically alive. I love the fresh sound of the flamenco guitar too :D

I've enjoyed playing the Noad version of this piece, long since forgotten as the book was stolen.

Your interpretation is fantastic. Can you tell us what software. microphone ect you use? The quality is excellent!

I've also enjoyed your other pieces I've Dl'd . Bravo!

What can I say?
The play is perfect.
The arrangement is probably the most interesting of all arrangements of this piece.
The quality of record is at high level.

:bravo: :merci: :casque: :casque:

Record a disk of Gaspar's works, and the world will lay at your feet.

Wow that was great!

Your playing has such expression and vitality. Thats how I want to sound. I guess I could get a flamenco guitar; all I need then is your musicallity and no doubt years of hard graft.

I'm not sure I can ever aspire to play the way you do but hearing pieces played this way really inspires me to try harder.

Please post more.

Best regards

Hello again Hybrid!

Like Owl, this one nearly escaped my radar too.

I am a big fan of yours and have admired everything you have done for us on this forum.

This just ko's and floors me. I just love it and it is playing, on repeat over and over as I speak.
The more I hear this, I more trouble I have getting up off the floor again! Heh heh!

Fantastic stuff! More please!

That one blew me away. I hope you haven't tonned down the strumming too much - I thought it gave the piece real vitality.

Definately a recording I will isten to repeatedly.

A little late to the parade, here, but what a Canarios!! I have never heard a better one, period.

There are no emoticons adequate to the task, so I'll just leave it at that.

Awesome. Where to start.

Your tempo is perfect.
I love the almost Celtic feel to the embellishments. They floor me.
Your Brune (hybrid?) guitar is awesome and it's well recorded.
You're using a pretty good mic, no?

Anyway, that's great stuff. Thanks.

I just joined this website and I've been listening to pieces posted by the members.
But this one truly impressed me. This is an extremely well played piece of music.

whoa!! I cant believe ive been missing all these replies!

I didnt realize this got moved to Our Early Music.

I dont visit this section as much as the main mp3 section.

Just wanted to say a huge :merci: to everybody who took the time
to listen.
This is definately my favorite aspect of the forum.
Its so great hearing everyone's thoughts and compliments.

I LOVE this place!! :D

And for Dach, i use Shure SM-81 microphones in stereo, and Nuendo 2
audio software. Nuendo is expensive, but its because of lots of
crazy features. As far as just the sound, it really sounds the same
as just about any software out there. I would say the mics and
the mic preamp, plus the room, and of course the guitar, are the most
important aspects.
