Weiss, S. L. - Prelude in G Major - Video

Post by kidneykutter » Tue Mar 24, 2009 1:49 am

A prelude in G major by SL Weiss from the London manuscript. Played on 13 course baroque lute. Embarking on a G major exploration for the next little while.

Beautiful, Kutter!

:bravo:

This is one of my favorite Weiss Suites, too.

You play it so lovingly! Thank you!

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for another lovely recording. Your playing conveys such focussed joy—it is such a delight to see someone so happily engaged,

Best wishes, V :D :bravo:

Thanks for the kind words but don't get TOO excited: I'm working on a Weiss sonata from the Moscow manuscript. It doesn't have a prelude so I used the London Ms prelude. The rest of the London G major is much too hard for me (at least the fast movements are!).
