Weiss, S. L. - Allemande in A Major - Video

Post by kidneykutter » Tue Sep 01, 2009 8:18 pm

Allemande from the sonata in A major in the Dresden manuscript (Smith-Crawford #16). This charming and challenging sonata exists in 5 manuscripts but has only been recorded once so far. Played by Daniel Shoskes on 13 course baroque lute, built by Andy Rutherford. I'm not 100% convinced about my ornaments and a bit annoyed at the breathing sounds so this one might get a re-do.

Hello Daniel,

It certainly sounds challenging—I did not find your breathing particularly intrusive,

Best wishes, V :) :merci:

Hi Daniel,

Lovely! This may be my new favorite lute piece! I love the rich sound of your lute. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.
