Weiss, S. L. - Passacaglia D major - Video

Post by andi33x » Thu Feb 14, 2013 1:11 pm

Hello all,
this is my recording of the Passacaglia. It has been recorded yesterday in my small working room with 2 Rode NT5 micros.

Please pardon my loud breathing - this is always a problem.
Best wishes
Andreas

Bravo, Andreas! I admire the way you dampen some of bass notes. :bravo: :merci: :bye:

I loved it. You played it so well. Every note was enunciated clearly. An excellent performance.

The video was excellent too. That was also clear. And thank-you for providing different viewpoints - was that three cameras. Each angle was clear and it was an education to be able to watch both right and left hands in action. And your microphones worked a treat. They seemed to pick up all they should have with no extarneous noises. I could not hear your breathing, I think I must have been too engrossed in the music. In any case, never apologise for breathing.

:merci:

I just listened to this video again. My original comments still stand but this video really is one of the most mesmerizing well played pieces I have seen. Everything about the playing is spot on. Dynamics, emotion, tension followed by release, technical control. I could go on and on.

Andreas, you get a standing ovation for this one! Again!

Congratulations with your recording. I only just found out about this piece and I am stunned with your level of control over it.
Now if only I had a white sofa in my working room perhaps everything would sound better ;-))
Cheers Rutger
