Carulli, Ferdinando - op.007 Serenade - Duo

Post by maton325 » Thu Jun 02, 2011 1:45 pm

I liked the way the guitar parts fitted together, each having a time in the lead role.
I have attempted the Andante section of this piece with Var.1. I gain a lot of enjoyment
playing against a second guitar. However I did not spend enough time working out how the parts
could be put together more expressively.

cheers

Hi Rewing, thank you for your positive comments. My guitar is an
old Levin (was my father inlaws) and i recordedinto a Rode NT1-A mic,
through an m box into Pro Tools LE program on a mac comp.
I added a slight amount of reverb.I recorded one guitar and then
recorded the second against it on another track. No engineering really.

cheers

Peter,

I listened again with that in mind. Rhodes are said to be excellent for classical guitar. Your use of reverb was just right, not overwhelming but added some depth. I am not familiar with your guitar but the tone was good and balanced. You synchronized your playing also well, I know it is no easy feat.
Keep up the good work and lets us hear you more. I don't know I just love two guitars......
Regards
Rich
