Giuliani, Mauro - op.048/08 Allegro

Post by camytay » Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:45 pm

This is a hard one to play cleanly, as you will hear in my attempt at this great little study by Giuliani.

The definitive version of this piece has already been posted on the forum by the amazing Lucio Matarazzo. How he manages to play it at such speed and precision I do not know.

Let me know what you think folks.

Hello Cam.

This is grand! I hope you realise you are just a few seconds behind Lucio!

Best wishes, V :merci:

You do a great job on this one. Very clear, and confident.

Exactly how it should be. :bravo:

You should check out no 18. Its a really good one. It has you going
from many different positions, mainly straight scales, but with those
seperated octaves, similar to no8. Im learning it from Lucio's recording
using amazing slowdowner.

Thanks Vesuvio, but you do realise that in a hundred meters dash, a few seconds means half the race course!

Yeah Hybrid, no 18 is another beauty, I look forward to hearing your go at that one. There's another amazing player on the Italian forum posting under the name chitarristapersempre who plays with a similar technical brilliance to Lucio Matarazzo. I think you'd like his Giuliani and Legnani stuff.

Cam,

Great!!! Excelent 'alegro' the tempo and pace are amazing. It looks like a very hard study to play.

I try to treat it very well and never out of tune...

Thank you moramajor, glad you liked it. It's really just the allegro part that's hard to play in this piece 8) , the fingerings are fairly manageable at a slower tempo, apart from the highest section which would be easier with a cutaway.

Thanks for those comments folks.

I just got a notification email there (Dec 13) telling me that someone had added a comment to my post since my last visit (Nartak's post). But Nartak's post is dated August 24...? Perhaps someone added a comment and then later removed it?

Hey Cam, this sounds difficult to keep going with fluidity, very well played!

Thanks

Paul
