"First Fall", in D#minor modulating to C#major. Not my choice, that's just how it goes.

These keys mean very few open strings, and little of the usual sympathetic resonances: that gives the guitar a peculiar slightly eerie tone which is part of the character of the piece. It also means playing extensively with barres, and there are a few places where it calls for half-barre played with finger 4.
