Rinneby, Jon - 05:52 (My first classical piece) - Video

Post by rinneby » Fri Oct 12, 2018 6:04 pm

A pretty beautiful morning, I woke up a bit extra early and wrote my first classical piece on the guitar. The song was finished 05:52, which also became its title. Pretentious, I know. This is untouched land for me, so please listen with gentle ears!

All the best from Sweden

:-D
Good for you! :applauso:
At 5:52 this morning where I am, it was still dark! From your music, I would assume the sun was or had just risen?
A very nice way to start the day.
Perhaps a nice subtitle would be “Daybreak “?
When the sun shines, bask.

Interesting piece, are you following jazz harmony or letting the strings do what they want :)? Shouldn't this be in the members compositions subforum? viewforum.php?f=116

Very nice Jon. Thanks for sharing. Our trees are starting to look similar here in Washington state.
All this time I thought I was making music; it was making me.

Thanks! Actually I don't really know what I am doing ;) It's standard tuning with many open chords...

Thank you Lawler. I used only one microphone, Peluso 2247 SE, in a pretty well treated room + some gentle reverb. The guitar is Karel Dedain, lattice spruce with katalox (a Brazilian hardwood back and sides.

I liked it, well done. (For me, most days at 0552 I have been at work a minimum of 22 minutes by then!)
