Barrios Mangoré, Agustín - Choro Da Saudade - D10 Video

Post by glassynails » Tue Aug 30, 2011 11:13 am

I haven't played the first part for maybe 4 years since last week. Just learned the 2nd and 3rd parts last week, so I don't have command over them yet, nor really the piece, but here's my preliminary recording of it.

7 minutes, don't know if I added an extra section or something and I think I messed up the ending since I was working off my memory.
"GLASSYNAILS" on Youtoob for my "no edit" - "no fakery" audio recordings. Just me, my Alhambra 7p spruce, and an Olympus ls-10 portable recorder.

Regarding this piece of music: I really like for first section of this piece but the second section has so many tough stretches in it that it is very difficult to play. I always wondered why he couldn't make section 2 with a few easier voicings. Perhaps he had large hands and a small scale guitar? Sounds like you can manage it nicely. Well done. A bit more tempo would be nice.
