Barrios Mangoré, Agustín - Julia Florida - D08 Video

Post by lucy » Fri Oct 17, 2014 11:06 pm

Hi All

My new version of this classic, romantic piece! (I think it's an improvement on the version I shared a few years ago).

Please let me know what you think.

Constructive critiques welcome.

Thank you.

Most enjoyable—thank you! I like the relaxed feel and sense of repose in the first and last sections—very beautiful.

Dear Lucy

Thank you for more detailed info on your guitar. I am interested in correlation between the construction and materials and sounds, in how the material influences the sound, tone palette etc. Yes, a lot depends on the player's ability to produce sounds but material is also of importance.

With my best

Jacek

Hi Lucy

As always very very nice.. Its hard to find any fault so if I was to comment at all, I would say that the first 20 seconds or so lose a bit of the flow and could be improved.. its not a tempo thing, but more like loss of breath - like a singer forced to take air. You fix this as the piece progresses.

cheers
Brian

Thanks for posting this lovely performance. The opening measures seemed hesitant...intentional perhaps?
Otherwise a pleasure to hear with my morning coffee :)

Not really intentional, I think, but more because I was being looked at by that ugly monster called a video camera!

I'll try and start with more confidence next time.........
