Dear All

Here is my latest efforts. Did it all in one quick take. Not my best but not my worst either.
It is good to see all your postings. I thought your recording of the Carulli Andantino was lovely, Stewart.
Michael, your Carulli sounded good too - hard to see because you shot your video in a darkened room or something.
by the way, I doubt I will be posting much during the next lesson, as I am on holiday and away some of the time. Will do my best to keep up some practice though.

Hi Ned, I've only just noticed your posting to this lesson as I've moved on to lesson 7 now. Thank you for your kind comments on my Carulli - I think your new version has some really expressive moments, but these are sometimes followed by a section that sounds a little rushed. It's almost as if you've got an idea of how one bit should sound, and so your playing matches it, but at other times you just play the notes. I hope that makes some sense and doesn't sound crass! I thought the Pavane worked really well - I think it's an example of where your solid (at least compared to mine) RH technique shines. In the slurs, it looks as though you were pulling the first finger off (and above) the string but corrected this for the second finger. Geoff has very kindly added some information on slurs within lesson 7. Looking forward to you rejoining us later - Stewart

Here's lesson 6. I'm just trying to keep my left hand relaxed and my right hand fingers on the correct strings. Comments are always welcome.
